HomeNews «Credit Europe Bank Ltd.» jointly with Bank of Russia’s deflected a cyber attack 18.04.2019 «Credit Europe Bank Ltd.» identified and deflected a cyber attack on the automated systems that store the databases of card products. Bank countered it jointly with the responsible departments of Bank of Russia’s FinTCERT (Center for Monitoring and Responding to Computer Attacks in the Credit and Financial Sphere) and international financial organizations. After the attack was repelled, our cybersecurity experts monitored database protection to prevent possible unauthorized transactions. In connection to the incident, the performance of client services, including money transfers via payment cards, was not affected. Currently all the Bank’s systems are functioning normally, and the funds stored in customer accounts, as well as their personal information, are completely safe. Representatives of the Bank actively assist law enforcement agencies in investigating the incident. Despite the fact that no unauthorized or suspicious transactions have been identified as of now, the Bank provides its customers with the opportunity to re-issue cards free of charge at any branch.
